It is a minor operation and can be performed under partial anesthesia if the malformation is small.</p> <p class="text">On the other hand when the abdominal wall has collapsed, a muscular plasty is also done. The procedure is then more important and necessitates a general anaesthesia with a stay of three to five days. </p> <p class="text"><b>Post-Operative Effects</b></p> <p class="text">The scar is horizontal, situated normally near the pubis. The wearing of an abdominal belt (support belt), and then of a support girdle is necessary for six weeks depending on the case. </p> <p class="text"><b>Results</b></p> <p class="text">Whatever the importance of the procedure, the results are visible after about two months.
