ABDOMINAL PLASTY
This procedure allows the removal of excess
fat and skin around the belly when a liposculpture is
not sufficient enough to give a flat belly. It is a
minor operation and can be performed under partial anesthesia
if the malformation is small.
On the other hand when the abdominal wall
has collapsed, a muscular plasty is also done. The procedure
is then more important and necessitates a general anaesthesia
with a stay of three to five days.
Post-Operative Effects
The scar is horizontal, situated normally
near the pubis. The wearing of an abdominal belt (support
belt), and then of a support girdle is necessary for
six weeks depending on the case.
Results
Whatever the importance of the procedure,
the results are visible after about two months. This
operation achieves a flat and firm stomach in a definitive
and radical way.
