RECEDING OR PROTRUDING CHIN
Aesthetic surgery of the chin allows
a receding or protruding chin to be corrected. The procedure
is not done until the end of the bone growth period,
around the age of seventeen. When the chin is not shaped
adequately (receding), the procedure consists of putting
an implant, generally silicon or to use a bone graft
taken from the body. When the chin is protruding, the
excess bony edge is removed. Prior to surgery, laboratory
and radiographic exams are systematically done. In both
cases the operation is performed under a deep local
anesthesia, with anesthesia control and lasts less than
an hour.
Post-Operative Effects
Resorbable sutures will disappear by themselves.
A treatment based on frequent mouth wash will be prescribed.
Results
They are excellent. The incision is always
done on the inside of the mouth and there are no visible
scars.
DOUBLE CHIN
To remodel the chin, we use liposculture.
This remarkable technique, simple and efficient allows
the removal of fat excess around the face or body. During
a liposculpture procedure, by ultrasound or regular
procedure, the fat is aspirated with the help of small
tubes through very small incisions placed in the folds
of the skin. The choice of the method depends on the
quality of the skin. The surgeon decides which technique
is appropriate for each case.
Post-Operative Effects
A compressed-type bandage is sometimes
used. Given the simple and low pain post-operative effects,
these procedures do not necessitate a stay in the clinic.
Results
They are lasting and can really be seen
about two months afterwards. The recent progress in
the area of liposculpture with the help of very thin
canules allow to make more superficial moves and allow
to obtain excellent results in areas until now reputed
as difficult such as the oval of the face.
