FACE LIFTING
A face lift is an operation that allows
to reposition the skin tissues after the skin starts sagging
due to the effects of ageing, muscular tension, sun exposure,
etc. Available to both men and women, a facelift is done
around the age of 45 when the signs of ageing first appear.
Cervico-facial lift, frontal lift, mask-lift, mini-lift,
face lift under endoscopic guidance or associated with
lipo-structure or a peel: to obtain a better result, your
surgeon will use different techniques, which will vary
in function of the quality of your skin. In this manner
the facelift may be partial or full. Sometimes it will
involve an action on the muscle, the fat, the eyelids
or the forehead. Pre-operative exams with the goal to
detect an eventual contra-indication are systematically
done. The procedure lasts two hours and is done under
local anesthesia combined with sedatives. In some cases
it may be done under general anesthesia. The procedure
requires a stay in the clinic of twenty-four to forty-eight
hours.
Post-Operative Effects
They are simple. You can get up on the
first day and by the second day you will be free of
bandages. A painless edema on the face appears and eight
to twelve days of recovery are necessary to be presentable
to the outside world. You will be able to resume your
normal activities about two weeks after the operation.
Results
A facelift brings a great freshness to the
face. The results are neat and they last about ten years.
