Removing a hump, thinning the base of the nose, shortening or lengthening the nose, modifying the point of the nose… The goal is to correct the disharmony of the nose within the face and to improve the aesthetic balance. If internal functional problems (deviation of the nasal wall) exist, they will be corrected at the same time. The operation is done from the inside of the nostrils, and no scar will be visible. The operation can be done at the end of the bone growth period around 16 or 17. Laboratory exams will systematically be done to trace eventual contra-indications. The operation lasts one hour and is generally done under local anesthesia with the administration of sedative. Sometimes a general anesthesia is done. A stay at the clinic is not always necessary. <p class="text"><b>Post-Operative Effects</b> <p class="text">Wearing a cast is necessary for seven or eight days. The bruises around the eyes are generally unimportant and disappear within a week. After removal of the cast, the traces of the procedure are almost non-existent. This procedure is not painful. You will be able to resume your normal activity about two weeks after your operation. <p class="text"><b>Results </b> <p class="text">One must wait several months before one can appreciate the definite results.
