After that the building served as medico-social establishment.</p> <p class="text" ><b>The challenge of the renovation: blending contemporary design and <a href="http://www.la-peinture.ch/architecture/">architecture typical</a> of the beginning of the 20th century. Changing the interior while keeping the exterior façade its unique charm. </b></p> <p class="text" >The Swiss architect, <a href="http://www.jenny-arch.ch" target="_blank"><font color="#990000"><b>Mathias Jenny</b></font></a> , of Vevey, has accomplished a remarkable feat with the collaboration of the Bureau <a href="http://www.zednetwork.com" target="_blank"><font color="#990000"><b>Zed</b></font></a> of Zurich, responsible for the corporate design of the establishment. Hannes Wettstein, interior design architect and director of the Bureau Zed is a reference of Swiss design. Professor at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale in Zurich and at the Ecole des Arts Appliques of Karlsruhe, Germany, he is also a cutting edge designer who collaborates with Cassina or Artemide of Italy. He is also known for having created the interior architecture of the Hyatt Hotel on the <a href="http://www.vacances-sejour.ch/allemagne/week-end-berlin/">Postdamerplatz in Berlin</a> with the collaboration of the Spanish architect, Raphael Moneo.
